A Response from the Leadership Conference of Women Religious to These Times

The Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR), of which we are a member, recently shared a statement in response to these times.

The LCWR statement expresses deep concern over the global and national shifts in values that harm vulnerable populations and the planet. It calls for commitment to principles such as the care for the vulnerable, support for immigrants, dismantling systemic racism, and the urgent need to protect our environment. In these times, we are reminded to stay true to the values that have shaped our work for centuries, even when faced with rhetoric and actions that contradict them.

Let us stay united in prayer and action as we strive to live out the Gospel’s message of love, hope, and peace in a world that needs it more than ever.
