BVMs sign the ICCR Immigration Reform Statement

The Sisters of Charity, BVM are one of the nearly 100 institutional investors to sign onto this statement in support of comprehensive immigration reform they view as critical to creating business certainty, operational continuity, economic expansion, and a more cohesive and just society. The statement was issued in response to the heightened economic anxiety and downturn caused by recent executive orders resulting in increased raids by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and deportations of people and families without documentation. The statement features recommended actions for Congress, Companies, and Investors to help achieve this goal.

We call on Congress to reject piecemeal immigration-related orders and directives that only prolong uncertainty and create confusion and instead, come together to enact comprehensive immigration reform that protects all stakeholders and fosters long-term economic growth. We urge the business and investment communities to join this effort, as the uncertainty created by disruptive and discriminatory anti-immigrant policies will have broad financial and legal implications across the private sector, impacting all its participants.
