Invisible Hands – Julien Dubuque International Film Festival
Five tri-state area religious congregations are sponsoring the showing of the film “Invisible Hands” at the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival April 26–29, 2018, in Dubuque, Iowa. The documentary exposes child labor and child trafficking within the supply chains of the world’s biggest corporations.
The screening times for “Invisible Hands” are Friday, April 27, at 12:15 p.m. in the Hotel Julien ballroom and Sunday, April 29, at 9:15 a.m. at the Journey Theater in the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. The film, directed by Shraysi Tandon and produced by Oscar winning filmmaker Charles Ferguson, was inspired by Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi, who is featured prominently in the documentary. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
The congregations sponsoring the documentary showing include the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa (Wis.), Dubuque Franciscan Sisters, Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Sisters of the Visitation.
